Abstract
This research aimed to study the factors affecting the increase of communication efficiency in business organizations that are member of The Thai Chamber of Commerce by analyzing problems and obstacles that make communication breakdown. This research also suggests a method of increasing communication efficiency in business organizatons in order to improve communication between CEOs and their employees.
It can be concluded that individual factors and organizational factors affect communication efficiency in business organizations at a high level. As found from surveying, the result of factors affecting the increase of communication efficiency in business organizations is sending information rapidly by using internal telephone, e-mail, announcements and informing in the meeting room. Moreover, information which can be implemented for working is also affected to the increase of communication efficiency in business organizations but the received information should be reliable withable without my modification by the reliability of the sender as well as technology used in communication with moderate to good potential is the most efficient form of communication of business organizations.
The most frequent problems and abstacles in communication of business organizations are as followed:
- Communicatiors (CEOs and employees) have no sufficient communication skill.
- Information delay causes problems in working.
- CEOs always change their commands.
- Delay of communicator response.
- The problem of distorted information or unclear and incorrect information.
For in-depth interviews, the researcher found that every interviewed CEO give opinions about communication of business organizations that it should be two-way communication and emphasized on participatory communication.
For recommendation, the researcher has provided suggestions for the CEO under the concept called “SMART CEO MODERN STYLE” and the other for employees under the concept called “SMART SMILE STAFF”, and moreover, the researcher also suggest to apply the Buddhist principle of the “Four Divine States”.
